After the recording of his previous hit CD "The Story of Your Life" Matthew's continued to receive e-mails from fans telling him their "story". Into the Light continues the process of weaving the life stories of his fans into his songs.
The song "Forgiveness" is the story of a mother who forgave the drunk driver who killed her daughter almost a decade ago.
"I was going into the studio release an EP this spring and wasn't going to release my next full record until 2013. But while we were in the studio something special began to happen. These few songs were inspired by stories that were sent to me back when I was making The Story of Your Life. I was reminded of just how powerful the stories are that everyone sent and God began to put in on my heart that maybe it wasn't quite time to move on to something different yet..."
Matthew West

Five-time Dove Award winners Group 1 Crew have come through a handful of challenges over the past few years as they have been preparing their new album Fearless. From the departure of Pablo to the loss of singer Blanca's father in November of 2011, to the joys and trials of being newlyweds while dealing with a constant touring schedule including the biggest tour in the world (Winter Jam 2012), Group 1 Crew has gone through it and have emerged on the other side with a message for their fans.
Fearless, their fourth studio album, takes fans on a purposeful journey to encounter the truths that Manwell and Blanca have come face-to-face with over the past few years. The title track declares the message Group 1 Crew wishes to convey on this album that "If You're with me, who can be against me? I have no reason to fear." The soaring ballad "Steppin' Out" reminds listeners that it's not too late to take a chance... that the Maker of their dreams will make a way if it's what He's called them to.
While Group 1 Crew takes the lyrical content of Fearless to a significant new level of depth, they remain true to their signature rap/hip-hop/dance infused style while opening the door to an entirely new fan-base through Christian AC radio with tracks like "He Said" featuring Chris August.

Owl City's Adam Young took a bold step forward on the new album by choosing to work with co-writers and outside producers for the first time. For example when it came to working on "Shooting Star", the first song released and one of the focus tracks on the album, he enlisted his friend Matt Thiessen (Relient K), Stargate (Rihanna, Wiz Khalifa) and Robopop (Maroon 5). And on "Gold", another focus track on the album, he enlisted the team of Josh Crosby, Nate Campany and Emily Wright (Dr. Luke's engineer).
In addition, Young is joined by two very exciting guests on the new album. On "Dementia", Young is joined by one of his heroes, blink-182's Mark Hoppus. The song documents some of the more psychotic thoughts and feelings Young dealt with in the wake of his Platinum® debut album Ocean Eyes and one of the more rock-inspired cuts on the new album. And on the album's first single, the incredibly infectious pop gem "Good Time" (written and produced by Adam Young, with Matthew Thiessen and Brian Lee as co-writers), Young is joined in a duet by "Call Me Maybe" star Carly Rae Jepsen (2007 Canadian Idol second runner-up).
By embracing the idea of working with others, Young was able to grow as an artist and producer and really explore new aspects of song writing and production. This openness was born out of several positive experiences collaborating with other artists including Paul van Dyk ("Eternity") and Armin van Buuren ("Youtopia"). The eleven songs on the new album reflect this growth while still retaining Young's synth-driven melodic pop sensibility.
Young can be heard on "Me Without You", the first single off TobyMac's upcoming release Eye On It.
The North American promo tour begins in Toronto on July 9th.
"It only makes sense that he's joined by Jepsen, the voice behind the undeniably catchy 'Call Me Maybe', for the album's infectious first single, a track that could become a radio staple for the rest of the summer."
