There are few who are blessed with Toronto-based Manafest's natural ability to spit lyrics effortlessly. Fewer still whose lyrics carry true, life-changing meaning with its listeners. But Chris Greenwood, a.k.a. Manafest, owes his success not only to his talent, but also to his hard work.
When Dre heard him freestyling on a Los Angeles radio station, Manafest's CD fell into the hands of Trevor McNevan, lead vocalist from renowned Toronto-based alternative rock group Thousand Foot Krutch. It wasn't long before a record deal was in the works.
The story doesn't end there, but rather it has just begun. Manafest is currently rereleasing his first full-length album under the Tooth & Nail label. Tour dates continue to be scheduled. Local concerts in Ontario happen nearly every weekend. His music video is on high rotation. Record sales continue to grow. But Manafest maintains his commitment to what got him there. Because the fastest rising hip-hop artists in the country are also the hardest working ones.
Manafest was a featured artist on the
