A Kid's Point of View

Born in Columbia, South Carolina, Dijon (full name: Dijon Prioleau) typifies the saying “Wise beyond their years.” At the age of 8, Dijon took the stage at church and belted out a stirring rendition of “His Eye Is on the Sparrow”, complete with runs usually heard from seasoned vocalists. Now, at age 14, Dijon is still ahead of the curve.

Dijon’s debut album A Kid’s Point of View is best described as his take on his own life. Songs such as "Pressures", "I Wanna Be More like Him", and "My Potential" highlight the typical life of a teenager trying to deal with various insecurities; but one who is secure enough in his faith to praise God in his music.

The lead single "A Kid's Point of View" is a semi-autobiographical story about Dijon’s perspective on things during his parents’ breakup. The poignant video to this single shows Dijon narrating what a kid sees and hears while their parents take the difficult steps towards ending their marriage.
