"This is a two book series by J Mark Bertrand, but I hope he writes many more! The main characher is a wounded, but very persistant homicide detective, named Roland March. The stories are gritty, without drowning in gore: entertaining but not titalating: well paced but not frantic. It's obvious that Bertrand understands Christians, and even though the protagonist isn't one, there is a discernable faith journey going on. I enjoyed both books enormously!"
