William Carey has been called the greatest Christian visionary and scholar of the 19th century.

With no academic education he taught himself more than twenty languages, translated the Bible into forty-three Asian languages and dialects, became a distinguished botanist and laid the foundation for the modern Protestant missions movement.

His life`s motto, "Expect great things, attempt great things", has inspired millions of people around the world.
